Privacy policy
Fortis Fit (“we”, “us”) is the publisher of the Fortis Fit app at fortisfitapp.com. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact privacy@fortisfitapp.com.
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, and a password if you create an email account. If you use Google or Facebook, we receive the identifier and the name and email those services share with us.
- Profile details you enter: phone number, age, sex, height, weight, activity level, diet preference, health conditions, and a profile photo.
- What you log: meals, recipes, workouts, activities, sleep, and related notes. Most of this stays on your device. Your account profile is also saved in our cloud database so it follows your sign-in.
- Messages you send us, including an account-deletion request.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in status and a user ID from Firebase Authentication.
- Subscription status if you buy Fortis Fit Pro, processed by the app store and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full card number.
- Basic technical data needed to run the app, such as device type, app version, and error reports.
Camera, photos, microphone, and notifications
The app asks for the camera or photo library only when you scan or attach a food or profile image. It asks for the microphone only if you use a feature that records audio. It asks to send notifications if you turn on reminders. You can deny these permissions in your device settings.
Health and fitness information
Nutrition, body measurements, health conditions, workouts, and sleep are sensitive. We use them to show your log, goals, and optional coaching suggestions. They are not sold. They are not used for advertising profiles.
AI features
If you use an AI suggestion, food scan, or coach, the text or image you submit, plus relevant profile details such as goals and dietary notes, may be sent to Google’s Gemini service to generate the reply. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that request.
Who processes data for us
- Google Firebase, for sign-in, the account profile database, and app infrastructure.
- Google, if you choose Google sign-in or an AI feature.
- Meta, if you choose Facebook sign-in.
- RevenueCat and Google Play or the Apple App Store, for subscriptions.
These providers process data only to provide their service to Fortis Fit. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and cloud profile data are kept while your account exists. Local logs stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the cloud account and profile as described on the account deletion page. Store receipts may be kept by the app store as required by their rules.
Your choices
- Access or correct your profile in the app settings.
- Sign out, or ask us to delete the account.
- Turn off camera, photo, microphone, and notification permissions in the device settings.
- Cancel a subscription in Google Play or the App Store. Deleting the account does not automatically refund a store purchase.
Children
Fortis Fit is not directed to children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after the update means you accept the revised policy.
